The dark horse peace plan
Why haven't I heard more about this from the mainstream press? Earlier this month, left-wing Israeli politicians and various Palestinian intellectuals unveiled the Geneva Accord, which could prove to be a landmark peace plan for the Middle East.

And you thought Rummy was serious...
...about moving NATO out of Brussels.
The fact is, we need NATO. They're not entirely American, but they do America's work. It gives us wiggle room both in terms of military capabilities and diplomatic cover. It may be "US out of Iraq" at the DC protests yesterday, but I haven't seen anybody saying "NATO out of Iraq".
Tom Friedman has an interesting idea on NATO's next expansion.

We love the Iraqi Information Minister!
Nuke 'em all! Let God sort 'em out!
Straight off of Israel's bitch slap on Syria last week comes this nugget: Israel is getting overt help to arm nuclear tipped Harpoon missiles on its submarine fleet. Now, we've known for a while that Israel's got nukes, but this is probably the first time that both the US and Israel have admitted to US assistance in the program. The target? Most likely Iran. Which isn't gonna make Tehran any more willing to comply with the IAEA. Welcome to John Bolton's wet dream.
